How to approach content in Spekit

Learn the various approaches to uploading and managing content in Spekit

There are a few ways to upload and manage content in Spekit, including:

    • Attach a file
    • Embed using iframe
    • Hyperlink to content
    • Upload content

How to upload content to Spekit:

To upload a video to a Spek, copy the video link and paste it into the Spekit editor, where the video will automatically upload. To upload a doc, select the file and drag and drop it into a Spek. To embed a PDF, select the embed PDF icon (this icon is on the far right side of the toolbar in the Spekit editor) and select the file you’d like to upload.

To embed slides into a Spek, go to the deck you'd like to upload and select "File," "Share," and "Publish to web." If you want to restrict access so that only users from your team or organization can view the content, then after selecting "Publish to web," click "Embed" and under "Published content & settings" you'll be able to edit the restrictions. Once you’ve published the content, you can copy the iframe and paste it into the Spek.

Lastly, if you’d like to create a hyperlink, highlight the copy you want hyperlinked and use the shortcut “Command-K” to paste the link. If you want to give your team quick access to the content that matters most, we recommend creating a “mini-Spek” with hyperlinks to other Speks.
