How to edit Speks using the Spekit editor

Best practices when using the Spekit editor:

• Be consistent with the format
• Avoid repetition
• Use emojis and headers
• Be concise - use bullet points over long text
• Avoid long Speks by breaking down your content
• Use links to relate to other Speks or topics

In the Spek editor, you have access to all your typical actions (undo, text, color, bold, italicized, bullet points, etc.). If you want to add your own colors, we recommend storing your brand colors in a Spek and copying the hex code into the editor. The editor also allows you to add tables, separate sections of your Speks, link Speks to other resources, and add or embed content.

If you want to add a video, go to YouTube, grab your link and paste the link into the editor. If you want to embed Google slides, select the slides, then select “File,” “Share,” “Publish to Web,” and “Embed,” where you’ll be able to limit the view to only your company before publishing. From there, post the link into the editor and the slides will be embedded.
